Asia-Pacific Alliance Kicks Off First Conference

The Asia-Pacific Alliance, a diplomatic alliance created to create a close, large, and powerful sphere in Asia and Oceania, has kicked off activities after months of the organization postponing meetings. Delegates from ten micronations across Asia and the world convened in the Asia-Pacific Conference, held on the ASPAA's official discord server, to acknowledge the existence of the organization as a whole, and commence scheduled meetings and programmes.

Headquartered in the Millanian City of Pasabrillo, The Alliance was created with the specific aim of "Bringing together Micronations across Asia for economic and diplomatic purposes, and furthering bonds across Asia." It has the bold aim of becoming a leading organization in the micronational world. Currently, the organization seeks expansion and formation of diplomatic relations within the organization.

Micronations across the region have already shown interest in the alliance. Big names with integral territory in Asia and Oceania such as Abelden, Posaf, Iustus, Millania, Jusin, and Uskor have all pledged their membership in the alliance. The Alliance boasts membership from the Middle East, to Australia, to China and Korea, and even Thailand.

The organization is also set to invite a number of invitees from other continents to observe its activities, and participate in activities with the organization's membership. The Kingdom of Jupiter has already joined the conference as an invitee state.

The first draft of the Asia-Pacific Charter is also being drafted, outlining the future of the organization, its purpose, and how it will successfully bring together asian states. Projects to begin outreach programmes to Asian States with little english capability are also in the works, especially across Japan and South Korea.

" I am very optimistic about the future of this organization," says Nicolás Millán, the first Secretary General of the alliance. "In recent years, with the disappearance of most Indonesian and Malay micronational organizations, Asia has largely been out of the picture. I plan to change this for the better, by creating a sphere collectively powerful enough to let Asia have a true say for the first time. After months of careful planning and slowly letting in nations, we have finally kicked off our first meeting. I also hope to begin a programme with the aim of developing smaller Asian micronations and providing a translation service of microwiki pages. "
