Kayut Capital Moves Into Danish Territory

CHATHAM – The Kayut Government has announced today its intention to relocate its national capital to a location in Denmark. This move is due to the departure of its leader, Captain Regent Thomas Kap, from Long Island. As the movement begins, the Kayut Government will begin to prepare a nationwide exodus from America to Europe, across two locations in Holland and Denmark.

The new capital district in Denmark, to be named Lakarta, will serve as the executive capital and seat of the head of state, while Chatham remains the seat of the national legislature and high court. It will consist of one single city, Lakarta itself. Additionally, it will also be adjacent to the new Millanian Embassy to Denmark in Copenhagen. According to the Kayut Interior Ministry, the Millanian Embassy to the United Nations will remain in service.

The second region, named Ilshowk, will be located in The Netherlands, and will also be adjacent to the Millanian Embassy to the Netherlands in Amsterdam, which will also serve the International Court of Justice in The Hague by extension.

Both regions will be home to their own brand new platoons in the Kayut Auxiliary Force in the Army, which will also move its headquarters to Lakarta. Half of the force still remains on Long Island.

The move sends a signal as Millania begins to project its newfound power on the European Continent. For the first time, Millania has established a presence on contiguous Europe. Millania's next challenge is figuring out how to steer away from colonialism and toward development in Europe.
